Why is Low Back Care So Important?
The Low Back is a junction point where your spine meets your pelvis. That means, it has movement capabilities that allow you to bend, squat, twist and lean. If these motions are done improperly or with force, they can lead to damage to the tendons, ligaments, muscles and/or joints in the Low Back. In Yoga, we work on the bio-mechanics of movement to ensure that you move properly during your daily activities. Above all, doing repetitive movements that are slow and gentle, will encourage your body to sense its optimal alignment. Moreover, they will keep your Low Back safe and supportive.
Many common Low Back issues are covered in our Essential Program for Low Back Care. For example, Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome, SI Joint dysfunction, Lumbar Disc Damage, Scoliosis, Osteoarthritis and Stenosis. Should you experience an injury or over-use of this critical area, we have Yoga practices designed to help ease your pain and discomfort. Specifically, to bring you back into balance and feeling more comfortable. In addition, these Yoga practices can be used for daily and preventative care. We encourage you to do something kind for your Low Back every day! We have created these structured Wellness Practices just for you!
